Getting ready for Lip Blushing Treatment

Do's and Don'ts before Lip Blushing Treatment:

Do's:

  • Apply Vaseline at least 4 times a day, starting a week before the treatment to keep your lips moisturised. Use Aquaphor lip repair if needed.

  • Exfoliate your lips with a lip scrub the day before the treatment to remove dead skin.

  • Bring reference pictures or lipsticks to communicate your desired colour.

  • Eat a meal before the treatment since you cannot eat within 4 hours after the procedure.

  • Purchase Aquaphor lip repair in advance.

Don'ts:

  • Refrain from consuming alcohol, ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, and vitamin E 24 hours before the treatment.

Lip Blushing Aftercare:

To achieve the best results, it is essential to follow proper aftercare instructions.

  • Avoid touching the treated area for 7 days.

  • Reduce swelling by applying an ice pack.

  • Assist healing by using Aquaphor. Apply it with a cotton bud, gently dabbing (not wiping), every 2 hours for as long as necessary.

  • If you notice any clear fluid within 2 days after the treatment, gently dab it off with a damp cotton pad instead of wiping.

  • Maintain regular showering and face washing routines, with a thin layer of Aquaphor applied.

  • Refrain from picking, peeling, or scratching the treated area.

  • Protect your lips from sun exposure for one week.

  • Avoid intense exercise for 5 days.

  • Sleep on a clean pillowcase.

  • Avoid using cosmetic products on the treated area for at least 10 days.

  • Limit exposure to hot showers and baths.

  • Avoid swimming for 2 weeks.

  • Steer clear of saunas, steam rooms, or spas for two weeks.

  • Temporarily avoid spicy food, seafood, eggs, hot drinks, and coffee for one week.

  • If you are prone to cold sores, take Aciclovir tablets as prescribed.

  • Once you stop using Aquaphor, moisturise your lips with Vaseline 5 times a day to keep them hydrated.

  • Refrain from smoking for at least 5 days, as it can darken the pigment.

  • Avoid eating within 4 hours after the treatment.

  • Properly clean your lips with a damp cotton pad after eating.
