Before your microblading treatment, there are some important do's and don'ts to keep in mind:

Do's:

  • Wash your hair, as you should avoid water contact on your eyebrows for three days after the treatment.

  • Consider having a facial scrub to remove dead skin, which can help achieve better results.

  • Bring your earphones to help you relax and distract yourself by listening to music or an audiobook.

  • If you have a specific eyebrow shape preference, bring pictures with you to show Sally before she begins drawing your eyebrows.

Don'ts:

  • Avoid consuming alcohol, ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, or vitamin E within 24 hours before the microblading treatment.

  • Breastfeeding should be avoided within 8 hours after the treatment.

  • Remove your contact lenses during the treatment.

  • Prior to your microblading treatment, it is recommended to discontinue the use of retinol products at least one week in advance.

  • For optimal results, it is recommended to schedule Botox and Microblading treatments at least two weeks apart.

  • If you have recently undergone laser treatment, it is advised to allow a minimum of four weeks for your skin to heal before proceeding with Microblading.

  • It is recommended to avoid microblading treatment during your menstrual period.

  • Avoid microblading treatment if you have a cold.

  • If you are under 18 years old, parental consent is required.

It's important to note that microblading is not suitable for everyone:

  • Pregnant women are not good candidates for microblading treatment.

  • Individuals with keloid, HIV are not good candidates for microblading treatment.

  • Individuals with diabetes, undergoing chemotherapy, autoimmune conditions or taking blood thinners should consult their doctors before proceeding with the treatment.

Microblading Aftercare:

Achieving the best results relies on proper aftercare. Here are some guidelines to follow:

  • Avoid water contact on the treated area for three days.

  • Use healing cream to aid in the healing process. Apply a small amount with a cotton bud four times a day for five days.

  • If you notice any clear fluid before applying the healing cream (within two days after the treatment), dab it off with a damp cotton pad instead of wiping.

  • Avoid from picking, peeling, or scratching the treated area.

  • Avoid sun exposure for one week.

  • Limit exercise for five days.

  • Sleep on a clean pillowcase.

  • Avoid applying cosmetic products to the treated area.

  • If you have a fringe, pin it back to prevent contact with the eyebrows.

  • Minimise hot showers.

  • Avoid bath for a week.

  • Avoid swimming for two weeks.

  • Refrain from using saunas, steam rooms, or spas for two weeks.

  • Sally's personal recommendation is to wear an eye mask at night to protect the eyebrows from accidental scratching during sleep.

Healing Period - One Week

During the healing period, your eyebrows may appear darker, and it is normal for one eyebrow to appear thicker than the other. Patience is key, as the skin takes four weeks to be fully healed. If any adjustments are necessary, they can be easily addressed during your touch-up session.

Q: Does microblading treatment hurt?

At iBrow Studio, we prioritise your comfort and use the best numbing cream available to ensure a pain-free experience during the microblading treatment.

Q: How long does a microblading session take?

On average, a microblading session at iBrow Studio takes approximately one and a half to two hours.

Q: How long does microblading last?

Microblading can last up to 12 months, depending on various factors such as metabolism, lifestyle, and skin type. Activities like swimming, exercise, sunbathing, and sun-beds can also affect the longevity of the results.

Q: How many treatments are needed?

Microblading typically requires two sessions, with a 4 to 6-week gap between each session. However, if you choose to have combinations of microblading and ombré, it may require three sessions with the same interval.

Q: Is a touch-up session necessary? Why do I need a touch-up session? What happens during the touch-up session, and how long does it take?

A: Yes, a touch-up session is necessary to ensure long-lasting results. Without a touch-up session, the desired outcome may not be fully achieved.

During the touch-up session, any areas where the skin did not absorb the pigment as well during the initial session are addressed and reapplication is done as needed. This helps to enhance and perfect the microbladed eyebrows.

The touch-up session typically takes an hour and a half to two hours to complete.

Q: What does the healing process entail?

A: Following the microblading treatment, your eyebrows will appear darker within the first week. Please don't be alarmed by this temporary darkness. It is completely normal as your skin begins to heal.

We kindly ask for your patience during the healing process and allow your skin to go through its natural healing stages.

Q: Will my skin look red or sore after the microblading treatment?

A: We use organic pigment, and as a result, your skin should not become red or swollen after the treatment unless you have an allergy to the numbing cream used. Any redness experienced will quickly subside, and there is no cause for concern.

Please be assured that all the pictures displayed on our Instagram, Facebook, and website show immediate results and are not filtered.

Q: What type of pigment do you use?

A: At iBrow Studio, we use the highest quality organic pigments, which have been proven to be safe. We do not use tattoo ink.

Q: Does microblading treatment damage my natural eyebrow hair follicles?

A: No, microblading treatment does not damage your natural eyebrow hair follicles, nor does it affect the growth of your existing eyebrows. The technique is carefully performed to enhance the appearance of your eyebrows without causing any harm.
